- I’m still working on my Bowser/Luigi story. And I still need a title that isn’t insane.

- I edited and submitted my story for the [personal profile] candyheartsex exchange! What a joy this was.

- I also edited and submitted a treat story for the exchange. This one was super fun as well.

- I did a hardcore line-edit of the first full draft of my story about Sephiroth for the Gloriosa zine. It’s equal parts archive horror, mad science, and Lovecraftian sanity slippage, and I think I’ve got something really fun on my hands. This one is for the Jenova lovers (and the Hojo haters).

- Speaking of archive horror, this week’s post on my book review blog (here) is about About a Place in the Kinki Region, a supernatural horror novel assembled from roughly two dozen “found footage” style short stories. If you’re curious, “the Kinki Region” designates the area around Osaka, but these days the expression usually refers to the heavily forested Kii Peninsula jutting south into the Pacific Ocean. It’s a beautiful part of the world; and honestly if any sort of malevolent elder god wants to spirit me away there then they’re more than welcome.

- I was commissioned to write a book review for the fourth issue of The Comics Courier. This week I finished and edited the review, scanned and edited some good images to go with it, and sent everything to the editor. What a pleasure and an honor this was.

- Quite some time ago, I commissioned an artist who used to go by the handle “Lorigami” to draw a picture of young Ganondorf and the Helmaroc King. She deleted her socials when she went pro, but she kindly gave me permission to post her illustration on Tumblr, which I did (here).

- My own drawing of Ganondorf and the Helmaroc King is… Not as amazing as I imagined it would be!!!! But that’s fine. The point is to keep grinding for EXP while doing art that makes me happy. My current WIP, which is the almost-finished linework, is (here).

- While sitting next to my beloved sunlamp and dreaming about summer, I did a quick drawing of a flowering wisteria vine. I’ll need to paint in the color, but the lines are (here) if you’d like to see them.

I’m still suffering from the cold and ice, but the warmth I see on social media is heartening. It’s always so nice to watch people standing up for each other, supporting their communities, and putting art into the world. Despite everything!!
