rynlingI need to scream about the fiction market for a second. This is probably going to be a series.
I polished a piece of flash fiction titled "The Flower Ritual" for Small Wonders Magazine and wrote what I hope is a strong cover letter. I finally psyched myself up to send in everything this weekend only to find that submissions are now closed. Awesome!!
So I went on Submission Grinder to see if there are any other interesting open submissions for SFF flash fiction. I bookmarked a site called Quail Bell Magazine: https://www.quailbellmagazine.com/
Having once again psyched myself up to submit, I just looked at Quail Bell Magazine again today. Technically, their submissions are open. However! They haven't updated their website or social media since May. There's no notice of a hiatus or anything like that, but... yeah.
Small Wonders doesn't say anything about when they'll be opening submissions again on their site or social media, so I guess I'll just keep checking the page. While looking for other places to submit, I guess.
